About the role

Are you a passionate and experienced mathematics educator ready to shape the next generation of teachers? We are seeking a Mathematics Specialist Curriculum Lead to play a key role in delivering and developing our PGCE Secondary Mathematics programme.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, research-led School of Education. You will:

  • Lead and deliver high-quality teaching across the PGCE Secondary Mathematics programme
  • Contribute to curriculum innovation and the development of new programmes
  • Support and mentor trainee teachers through close partnership with schools
  • Engage in school visits, recruitment activity, and professional development initiatives
  • Maintain strong links between academic research and classroom practice

You will also play an important role in curriculum design, quality assurance, and ongoing development of our Initial Teacher Education (ITE) provision.

About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly skilled educator who brings:

  • A strong academic background (degree and Master’s in a relevant field)
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Significant, successful experience teaching in schools
  • Experience supporting or contributing to initial teacher education
  • The ability to design engaging learning experiences and inspire trainee teachers

You will be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of mentoring and motivating learners at all levels. A commitment to professional development and scholarly engagement is essential.
