The University of Leicester is committed to delivering research, teaching, and learning of the highest quality, and the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences is no exception, providing a rich and culturally diverse environment for students and staff to thrive in. With strong research links to Space Park Leicester, the Institute for Environmental Futures, School of Geography, Geology and the Environment, the Leicester Institute for Precision Medicine, and the Department of Genetics & Genome Biology, the School seeks to make significant contribution to its research profile in computational mathematics, mathematical and computational modelling, mathematical biology, statistics, statistical mechanics, (stochastic) dynamical systems, mathematics of Planet Earth, Artificial Intelligence, data science, or other areas consistent with our existing strengths and future ambitions.

The successful candidate will join a cooperative and friendly atmosphere, working hard alongside ambitious staff and students to deliver high-quality teaching and research. You will be expected to undertake teaching, tutoring, and project supervision across a range of mathematics and statistics courses, as well as supporting the development of new programmes and courses in mathematics.

At the heart of the UK, the University of Leicester balances different areas of activity by ensuring a fair and transparent workload model between staff and different areas of activity. If you're passionate about contributing to the research profile of the School and making an impact in the field of mathematics, apply now to join the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Leicester.
