As a Senior HR Advisor, you will provide an efficient, solutions-focused HR service across the University, supporting managers and staff on a wide range of people-related matters. This includes offering expert advice on employee relations issues such as discipline, grievance, performance and attendance management, while ensuring a consistent and pragmatic approach aligned with employment legislation and best practice. You will also contribute to strategic priorities within the People Strategy, delivering projects, supporting senior recruitment processes and maintaining an active HR caseload to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes.
Working collaboratively with stakeholders across Colleges and Professional Services, you will build strong professional relationships, including engagement with senior leadership teams, trade unions and external partners. The role also involves leading on the development and review of HR policies and procedures, delivering training workshops for managers, and analysing HR data to inform decision-making. You will operate in a complex environment, balancing multiple priorities while contributing to operational excellence across the University.
The role is available on a 30 hours per week, part time basis. These hours can be worked on a schedule to be agreed, but can be worked across either a four or five day weeks. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will be on campus a minimum of 2-3 days per week with the remainder worked from home. These will not be set days on campus and flexibility is required.
