About the role

As a member of the Education Quality Enhancement and Development team with responsibility for managing the University’s quality assurance and enhancement processes, you will ensure that the University is able to offer a cutting-edge curriculum, meeting the needs of students and external accountabilities and internal responsibilities with respect to academic quality and standards.

You will act as the Academic Advisor and lead contact for the College of Business, providing expert advice and guidance to the Dean of Education and other staff using a detailed knowledge of the University’s Regulations, Codes of Practice and quality assurance procedures.

You will provide expert support to colleagues in academic schools developing new and innovative programmes and modes of delivery, ensuring that overall academic quality is upheld and that the University delivers high quality, inclusive education.

You will also provide advice and guidance to Schools on the implementation of Regulations in relation to individual students, exercising sound judgement to ensure fair outcomes for all students.

About you

You will have significant experience of working in Higher Education in a role related to quality assurance and/or enhancement, which will include experience in providing professional advice and guidance on University-level regulations and procedures. You will also have knowledge of the UK Higher Education system, with an understanding of the regulatory framework in which it operates and of major national issues in academic quality and standards.
 
You will have experience of working with a range of stakeholders across the organisation, and managing a complex and varied workload.
 
Experience of student casework would be beneficial.
