About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lecturer (Teaching Focused) to join the School of Psychology and Vision Sciences. In this role, you will contribute to delivering high‑quality teaching across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, drawing on your expertise to develop engaging session materials and assessments. You will play a key part in enhancing our curriculum, supporting student research, and ensuring an excellent educational experience for our diverse student community.

You will also have opportunities to contribute to pedagogical and/or psychological research within the School, sharing best practice and advancing teaching innovation across the University.

About you

You will hold a completed PhD (or near completion) in a relevant discipline and bring experience of delivering teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, supported by evidence of strong student outcomes. Your expertise will complement or enhance existing strengths within the School, and you will be committed to designing high‑quality, research‑informed teaching that supports a positive student experience. A Fellowship of the HEA (or commitment to achieve this within an agreed timescale) is essential.

You will be an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to student‑centred learning. Your ability to work collaboratively, engage with curriculum development, and support diverse learners will be key to your success in the role.
