About the role

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Recruitment Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. Working from both home and campus, you will lead the delivery of operational recruitment campaigns, working closely with hiring managers to attract and onboard top talent. You will provide expert advice across the recruitment cycle, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and University policies, while maintaining a high standard of service. From managing redeployment processes to delivering recruitment training and projects, your contribution will help shape an inclusive and effective hiring experience.

The role demands excellent communication skills, as you will liaise with candidates, colleagues across the University, and external partners. As part of a forward-thinking team, you will play a key role in enhancing recruitment practices and supporting the University’s commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.

Flexibility with regards to working patterns can be offered to ensure the role fits in alongside any current personal commitments.

About you

You will bring either relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3, A Levels or equivalent) with experience in recruitment, or substantial experience in a similar role. Your ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment will be essential, as will your working knowledge of recruitment systems and employment legislation. You’ll be confident in handling confidential  information and adept at building strong relationships across a diverse stakeholder group.

We’re looking for someone who is resilient and has a focus on continuous improvement. Your attention to detail, initiative and people management skills will help you thrive in this role. If you’re passionate about delivering high-quality recruitment services and want to contribute to a university that values inclusivity, inspiration and impact, we’d love to hear from you.

Informal enquiries are welcome and should be made to Kevin Ritchie, Recruitment Services Manager at [email protected]

As part of the University’s ongoing commitment to professional development, this role will also be considered on a seconded basis for existing staff members. Please ensure this is discussed with your line manager prior to applying. More information regarding secondments can be found here
