About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join Student and Academic Services within the University of Leicester as an International Student Experience Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to build on your existing skills and experience and make a meaningful impact on the experience of our international student community.

In this role, you will coordinate and deliver a wide range of initiatives designed to enhance the welcome, wellbeing, and academic experience of our international students. From managing induction materials and wellbeing campaigns to cultural engagement and community-building activities, you’ll work collaboratively across departments and services to ensure our international students feel supported, included, and engaged.

You’ll lead on specific projects, use data and feedback to inform service development, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our international student support offer. Drawing on your understanding of the student lifecycle and university processes, you will play a key role in delivering a joined-up, responsive, and inclusive service in line with our Student Wellbeing Strategy.

This fixed-term opportunity is ideal for someone looking to broaden their impact and develop experience in a student-facing, strategic coordination role.

About you

You’ll be a confident coordinator with experience delivering support services to international or culturally diverse groups. With excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, you thrive in multi-tasking environments and are able to independently manage events, develop resources, and lead projects.

Your understanding of the challenges international students face allows you to design meaningful, timely interventions. You’ll be comfortable offering expert guidance on student-related matters, whether through one-to-one appointments, group sessions or digital engagement.

We’re looking for someone who embodies our University values: inclusive, inspiring and impactful. If you're proactive, empathetic, culturally aware, and driven by service excellence, we’d love to hear from you.

Additional information

Informal enquiries are welcome and should be made to Angela Truby, Director of Student Services and Belonging at [email protected].
