About the role

Join our team at The National Centre for Earth Observation (NCEO) as our Finance and Business Functions Manager! The NCEO is a distributed research centre with over 150 scientists from universities and research organisations across the UK, providing the Government’s long-term strategic research in environmental science using data from satellites in space.

This is a great opportunity to deliver finance, contractual and corporate functions for a whole organisation. As the Finance and Business Functions Manager, you will manage and oversee the organisation’s financial processes, management and reporting. You will provide contract management and advice. You will ensure the effective delivery of our corporate support functions including sustainability, corporate social responsibility, HSE, Infosec, etc. You will also be responsible for meeting organizational needs and supporting our Operational and Divisional Directors through the provision of corporate administration to the Executive and the Management Board.

About you

We are seeking a candidate with experience in organisational financial management and reporting, ideally in the science or research sector, as well as contract management. The ideal candidate should have significant experience in a financial management role at organisational level, experience of business functions management such as risk, compliance, CSR, sustainability, etc, and a business degree or equivalent experience.
