About the role
Campus Services within Estates and Campus Services are looking to recruit a Deputy Team Manager to join our Security Services Team. The purpose of this role is to assist, support and deputise for the Team Manger in the delivery of a high quality security service. The team is customer service driven and you will be responsible for monitoring the customer service delivery and incident report writing to provide guidance for the Control Room Operators. The Deputy Team Manager will ensure that the Control Room business systems are maintained to high standards in order to comply with legislation such as the Data Protection Act and deliver optimal operational efficiency. You will organise security initiatives and events in order to provide security and safety information and advice for staff and students.
About you
As an ideal candidate you will have experience of working with relevant specialised control room equipment, including CCTV recorders, communications equipment, security software and procedures.
You will know how to work as part of a team to deliver a high quality of customer service.
Due to the varied nature of the job you will be a problem solver who can recognise quality issues and provide workable solutions. You will have previous experience of working in a busy environment and be able to make critical decisions in challenging circumstances.
Good communication skills are an essential quality for this role. You will have a good standard of written and verbal communication, which you will use to produce detailed reports and to communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.
You will be familiar with the use of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel. You will have a flexible approach to work and be able to balance your time effectively to manage several tasks at once.
