About the role
Based in SEIS-UK, the Natural Environmental Research Council’s Geophysical Equipment Facility for seismology, based at University of Leicester, you will support SEIS-UK’s objective of providing instrumentation and all necessary support to the UK Geophysics community, to enable academic researchers to perform seismic fieldwork anywhere around the world. 

You will summarise research findings, record and disseminate to the research group, preparing accurate documentation and assisting with field support and the training of senior academics, researchers and PhD students in the use of SEIS-UK equipment whilst setting and maintaining standards. 

In addition, you will maintain storerooms to ensure a safe working environment and develop and maintain documentation for all equipment’s and procedures to ensure best working practices. 
About you
With a relevant first degree and / or relevant work experience, you will have practical experience and knowledge of applying research skills and techniques to deliver outputs on time and to the required quality. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate research potential and enthusiasm for the subject area, alongside excellent analytical and problem solving skills. 

In addition, you will have excellent communication skills, be able to prioritise tasks, and have a commitment to continuous professional development.
