About the role

The EXCEED study is a local cohort of 10,000 individuals with linkage to longitudinal electronic health care records and genome-wide genotype data. The Project Manager will play a key role in all aspects of cohort development, research and project management in order to promote best use of the EXCEED study in line with its original aims to generate new biomedical science findings.

You will maintain operational oversight of all aspects of the cohort whilst simultaneously providing support to the research team and exploring innovative ways to develop the study. 

About you

The Project Manager role is pivotal to the success of the study and as such we are looking for an ambitious and proactive candidate with experience conducting research involving NHS patients. You will be educated to degree level, and a PhD or equivalent relevant experience would be beneficial. You will have experience of quantitative research methods and managing research projects.

You will be expected to be proactive in all planning requirements of the post, so excellent organisational skills are essential, as well as the ability to organise and manage others. You must have effective communication and diplomacy skills to engage and develop relationships with academic members of staff and other external stakeholders.
