About the role
If you thrive from having a varied workload, whilst having the opportunity to engage and work with young people, parents, teachers, advisers as well as academic and support colleagues in the University, then this is the role for you.

The role of UK Student Recruitment Officer is based within the Future Students Office and the focus is to lead on the recruitment of UK students across the West Midlands and North West. The regional role will encompass home student recruitment and outreach with the percentages involved reviewed bi-annually based on performances, market insight and candidate preference. Due to the remit of the role, candidates are required to be based in, or within commutable distance from our main campus in Leicester.

You’ll primarily be responsible for achieving the recruitment targets for the assigned region, in line with corporate objectives and Access and Participation Targets, and you’ll even have the opportunity to attend and support events across the UK representing Leicester at exhibitions, visiting schools, colleges as well as key partners and educational representatives in market to present a positive image of the university.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will be a strong communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills. Combined with a relevant degree, you will have experience in working within 13-19 education, further education or higher education.

To excel in this role you need to have the ability to analyse data, as well as the skills to write reports, correspondence and other documentation.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 because the appointee will have substantial access to young people and/or vulnerable adults. Therefore, an appointment to this post will be subject to checking and appropriate clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The successful applicant for this post will, therefore, be required to give consent for the University to check with the DBS for the existence and content of any criminal record in the form of an Enhanced Disclosure. Information received from the DBS and the police will be kept in strict confidence and will be destroyed once the University is satisfied in this regard.
