We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Professor to join our team within the Leicester Medical School to work as a Deputy Director of the International Teaching Partnership with Chongqing Medical University (CQMU).
The postholder will assist the Director overseeing the University teams delivering the teaching for this partnership programme within CQMU and in Leicester and be a core part of the lecturing team. The Deputy Director will work with the School of Medicine and Biological Sciences to develop, implement, deliver and evaluate elements of teaching and assessment relating to the BClinSci Degree in Clinical Sciences. This is a new degree based largely on our Phase 1 medical curriculum over year 1-2, and completed with bespoke clinically orientated units and a literature based project in year 3, all in association with our School of Biological Sciences and CQMU partners as part of a Joint Educational Programme with CQMU. This offers unique opportunities and challenges and the requirement to travel to China to deliver teaching (one 4-5 week teaching stint, and additional shorter trips as Deputy Director as required, but to be planned in advance in discussion with the post-holder). The Deputy Director will lead on co-delivery of one already established Unit, in CQMU, supported by University of Leicester and CQMU colleagues.
