You will work as part of a vibrant team delivering innovative teaching to students undertaking the BSc (Hons) Operating Department Practice, including the apprenticeship route to Award. This includes delivering lectures, tutorials and seminars, designing and marking assessments, personal tutoring, responding to student queries and attending social events. You will support the enhancement of teaching and learning in our school by contributing proactively to the administration of modules and continually improving your own understanding and application of learning and teaching.

As a teaching focused lecturer, you will also engage in scholarship and publication that enhances teaching and learning within the School and further establishes its external reputation.

We will support you in developing your teaching career and, in turn, you will play a key role in ensuring our continued success and fulfilling our future ambitions.

About you

You will be confident in reviewing, evaluating and developing the key skills of students, being able to develop resource materials to enhance teaching quality.

You will have exhaustive experience employed in an Operating Department as a registered practitioner, with a professional qualification for ODP work in all aspects of the practitioner role and hold professional registration as a Registered Operating Department Practitioner with HCPC.

We are looking for an enthusiastic educator capable of inspiring interest, curiosity and drive for learning in our students. You will have a real passion for the subject matter and be motivated to provide the very best experience for our students using your expertise and skill to ensure all reach their potential.
