About the role
We have a new opportunity within the Leicester Cancer Research Centre to work with the Chongqing Medical University (CQMU) Joint Educational Programme (JEP) to contribute to both teaching and research outputs. 
 
The teaching responsibilities of the post will include the development and delivery of a final year, undergraduate module in the general areas of precision medicine, translational medicine and cancer. The postholder will also contribute to the development and delivery of one cancer programme in a suite of new clinical MSc programmes similar to those above.
 
The research responsibilities of the post will be conducted in LCRC, specialising intranslational cancer research aligning with Cancer Research Centre’s focus on personalising cancerprevention, detection and therapy. The post holder is expected to deliver high quality translationalcancer research, to both interact with and enhance the strengths and research strategies of the CancerResearch Centre and wider Department.
About you
With a PhD in a relevant subject area, you will have a proven record of experience in higher education. You will have a clear future research plan and a commitment to high-quality teaching at both an undergraduate and postgraduate level, ensuring our students can get the best experience possible.
 
The Department is particularly interested incandidates that will bring expertise in the field of translational cancer research, genetics, genomicsand/or bioinformatics
 
You will be expected to build and develop develop networks and collaborations across the University and CQMU, and as such you should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with senior staff, and to negotiate and influence where required.
