About the role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and self-motivated AI Graduate to work closely with Tangi0 Ltd (TG0) – a young and innovation led company based in Clapham, London – and develop a machine learning system for recognising tactile gestures measured with TG0’s smart touch sensitive material.

This position is a key role within a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) – a collaborative project between Tangi0 Ltd and the University of Leicester.

  • You will be responsible for leading and delivering a challenging and strategic R&D project that directly impacts the business, with the opportunity to be a champion of real change.

Based in London, Tangi0 Ltd is a young innovation led company working in the field of gesture recognition.  Driven by artificial intelligence algorithms and advanced signal processing, TG0's platform technology can accurately detect variations in touch across a single flexible surface. Since its launch in 2016, Tangi0 Ltd has worked with high profile brands and manufacturers in the automotive sector and built a patent portfolio with more than ten international entries to date. About you

Qualifications

The Associate should have an MSc or a PhD degree in mathematics, computer science or engineering or a related area. 
 
Skills

The Associate should have the following skill set:

  • Knowledge of embedded systems and software development for embedded systems
  • Knowledge of C/C++
Ideally you will also have familiarity with:
  • Hardware engineering
  • Applied statistics
  • Basis/fundamentals of testing/verification
  • Python, XML
  • Tensorflow

Salary

£28,000 -£32,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience, plus a £4,000 personal development budget.

This appointment is for a period of 24 months on a fixed term contract basis with a strong possibility of conversion into a permanent R&D role at TG0 Ltd subject to performance and suitable role availability.

Location

TG0 Ltd, Lion Yard, 10 Tremadoc Rd, Ferndale, London SW4 7NQ with occasional regular travel to the University of Leicester.
