About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to manage the administrative systems and procedures for the newly formed Leicester Real World Evidence Unit (LRWE) at the Diabetes Research Centre. The role will include setting up and administering the processes and responding to and recording all Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD) enquiries. You will also liaise with external collaborators of a real-world library centre (ERICAS) held at the Diabetes Research Centre, distributing articles and follow-up reviews from external collaborators.

It will also include creating, managing and organising databases, diary management, secretarial support, minute taking, accurate record keeping, coordinating and organising meetings, working closely with the Business Manager of the LRWE Unit as well as the wider team.

About you

The post calls for high levels of efficiency, coordination and communication, coupled with advanced competencies in planning and organising. You will resolve problems and queries based on experience and judgement to an agreed standard and prioritise your own workload to deal with urgent tasks, while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail. We are looking for someone with experience in a relevant role, ideally with the NHS or a health research journal. Familiarity with the policies and procedures relevant to this role and to the University would also be beneficial.
