About the role

A highly motivated candidate is invited to join the research group led by Dr Roberto Feuda as an Informatician. The main interest of the group is to study the evolution of developmental gene regulatory networks using a combination of developmental biology and single-cell genomics.

You will support the research team through the production of code in various coding languages, and detailed code documentation as well as carrying out the semi-independent design of novel software tools, standards and graphical user interfaces, for data collection, curation, databasing, omics scale data mining and querying.

About you

The successful applicant will be able to develop or implement existing R or python codes for the analysis of single-cell RNA-seq data.

You will have experience in genomic or transcriptomic analysis and must have good computational skills, including experience in R and Unix. Additionally, you must have excellent organisational and time management skills, and the ability to work independently.
