About the role

Applications are invited for Research Associate positions within the Department of Mathematics at the University of Leicester to work with Prof Sibylle Schroll on the EPSRC-funded project “Graphs in Representation Theory”.

The objective of the project is to develop and connect the representation theory of finite dimensional algebras with graphs and hypergraphs. The successful candidates will join Professor Schroll’s research group and undertake research on the representation theory of finite dimensional algebras relating them, for example to geometric models arising in physics, studying the cohomology theories of these algebras and relating these to the geometric models and establishing connections with cluster theory.

We have two posts with a possibility of offering to up to three candidates subject to funding.

Post 1 - Available for 21 months from 01 September 2020 with a possibility of a 3 month extension.
Post 2 - Available for 12 months from 01 September 2020.
