About the role

Joining our Medical School’s new collaborative partnership programme with Chongqing Medical University (CQMU) you will contribute to teaching and assessment relating to the BSc Degree in Clinical Sciences, delivered between the University of Leicester and CQMU.

This Joint Educational Programme offers unique opportunities and challenges and the requirement to travel to China to deliver teaching for defined periods of time. The degree is in development and therefore the role will be initially focused on programme development; followed by implementation and delivery. The role will also involve a contribution to the teaching and assessment of our MBChB medical degree programme delivered at the University of Leicester.

You will draw on your academic excellence to underpin and carry out scholarship, teaching, enterprise, engagement, leadership and citizenship in the field of Medical Education and for the new CQMU partnership.

About you

You will have either a PhD (Basic Medical/Biological Sciences) or a Medical degree with evidence of postgraduate scholarship. You will have substantial postgraduate teaching experience at a higher education institution or of working within a clinical discipline, with evidence of a special interest in education and training. You will also have knowledge of medically relevant laboratory skills, biological sciences, human anatomical sciences and/or general systems physiology and/or pharmacology as well as an understanding of the variety of assessment methods used in Medical Education. 

You will have a commitment to high quality teaching within the field of Medical Education and to the ensuring that our students receive the best possible experience with us.
