About the role

The Theoretical Astrophysics Group at the University of Leicester invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position funded by the UK’s Science and Technology Facility Council.

The applicant will be expected to carry out independent and collaborative research with Prof. Nayakshin and other members of the Theoretical Astrophysics Group (whose existing research programme includes planet formation, AGN feeding and feedback, general theory of accretion discs, the role of Sgr A* in the evolution of the Milky Way, Galactic dynamics and dark matter). 

About you

You will have a strong track record in one or more of the following topics: AGN feedback and feeding; accretion or self-gravitating discs; planet or star formation; planet migration; stellar evolution modelling. The principal selection criteria will be research accomplishments and promise of future achievements in Theoretical Astrophysics.
