About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences. You will work within the NIHR Leicester Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) – Cardiovascular Theme and Department of Cardiovascular Sciences at Glenfield Hospital.
 
Your role will involve providing expert input into statistical aspects of research studies and undertake specialist statistical analysis of data from a range of studies including clinical trials, laboratory and genetic studies. This position is available at either Grade 7 or Grade 8 level dependant on knowledge, experience and career stage. 
About you

As a Grade 7 Biomedical Statistician you will be educated to MSc level in Biostatistics/Medical Statistics or Applied Statistics (or equivalent experience) with a broad knowledge of a range of statistical software.

You will have experience of involvement in statistical analysis of biological or genetic research. You will also have experience of involvement in design and analysis and in methodological aspects of clinical or epidemiological research or clinical trials.

As a Grade 8 Biomedical Statistician you will be educated to MSc level in Biostatistics/Medical Statistics or Applied Statistics (or equivalent experience) with extensive experience working as a statistician in a biomedical setting. You will have good knowledge of a broad range of statistical software and evidence of leading independent research. 

You will have evidence of sourcing and adapting relevant statistical approaches to address specific needs of research projects as well as providing statistical consultations to non-statisticians.
