About the role

In this role you will undertake teaching in the field of initial teacher education, with specific focus on primary education and a leading role in the PGCE Primary Education and SCITT provision. This will include the supervision of PGCE students in their school placements, timetabled tutorial support and focus-day school visits.

Working with colleagues, you will continuously review and develop the curriculum and in the design and launch of new degrees or other academic awards, where appropriate. These reviews will also be defined through student feedback and advice through peers.

Our Primary PGCE team is rated as‘outstanding’ by Ofsted. 

About you

With a first degree in a relevant subject, you will have significant successful primary experience as well as experience inworking with ITE students in school and / or HE. You will also hold qualified teacher status and a clear understanding of and a commitment to evidence based practice in ITT.
