About the role
Working with the Academic Services Manager (Quality and Standards) you will be a key a member of our Quality Office team to provide professional support for the operation of essential quality assurance processes for the College of Science and Engineering.
The role will enable you to provide advice and support to the College of Science and Engineering, providing support to the College Dean of Education, advising departments on a range of student matters such as progression and award. You will have the chance do directly support a range of core quality assurance processes including programme approval, annual review, external examining, academic governance and Higher Education Provision. 
You will also act as Secretary to University committees and working groups, working with their chair to agree agendas, draft papers and produce accurate minutes and reports.
The Quality Office sits within the Directorate of Academic Services, within the wider Division of Student and Academic Services.  The Quality Office team works closely with academic schools and professional services across the University, as well as with senior stakeholders and a range of external individuals and institutions.
About you
Being educated to a degree level equivalent, you will have gained knowledge and understanding of the national framework for the assurance of academic quality in Higher Education. You will have a high level of administrative experience, including drafting high quality documents and reports. 
Being an excellent communicator is essential to the role as you will need to be capable of managing a multiple projects simultaneously. You should also have strong IT skills, including the MS Office package, with the ability to analyse information and  produce draft reports and correspondence
