About the role

In this key role you will provide a professional and confidential administrative service to the Centre for Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Health based at the Leicester Diabetes Centre.

This role includes data entry, organisation of databases, diary management, minute taking, accurate record keeping, coordinating and organising meetings, research and community events.   You will assist in the day-to-day running of the centre providing administrative support to a high standard. Delivering a timely high quality service by taking personal initiative and responsibility to ensure that the centre is running smoothly. You will work closely with the BME Centre Managers and the wider team.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have either academic or vocational qualifications to NVQ 2/3 Level or equivalent with work experience in an administrative role. You'll be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, being able to work comfortably both in a team and independently. You will be able to work with minimal supervision, prioritising your own workload to deal with urgent tasks, while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail. 
 
This position requires a willingness to travel to meetings and events within the East Midlands as needed, as well as a willingness to work out of hours at evenings and weekends as required in the role.
