About the role

We are looking for an organised and customer-focused Compliance and Student Recruitment Administrator to join the College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities.

In this varied role, you will provide professional administrative and operational support across student recruitment and admissions, with a particular focus on PGCE and Initial Teacher Education programmes. You will support applicants throughout their recruitment journey, coordinating applications, interviews and selection activities while ensuring records and compliance documentation are accurate and processed within required timescales

You will work closely with academic colleagues, Admissions, Registry and other internal and external stakeholders, while also supporting recruitment events, applicant communications, conversion activities and reporting. You will help ensure applicants receive a professional, responsive and positive experience while maintaining the high level of accuracy required within recruitment and admissions processes.

The role also provides the opportunity to contribute to wider undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment activities, including Open Days, applicant events, webinars and projects designed to improve applicant experience and recruitment outcomes

About you

You will be a highly organised administrator with experience of working in a busy, customer-focused environment and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail. You will have experience of maintaining accurate records and information systems, handling confidential or sensitive information appropriately, and coordinating activities involving a range of stakeholders.

With excellent written and verbal communication skills, you will be confident providing a high-quality service and building effective working relationships with applicants, colleagues and external partners. You will have strong IT skills, including experience of Microsoft Office and database systems, and be able to work accurately within established procedures and regulatory requirements.

Experience of higher education recruitment, admissions or student services would be advantageous, particularly experience relating to teacher education or PGCE recruitment, student record or admissions systems, recruitment events or applicant engagement
