The University of Leicester Graduate Management Trainee Scheme aims to attract ambitious graduates to a career in higher education within Professional Services through various rotations across business functions. Across the scheme, the trainee will gain a wide range of skills and experience across a range of schools and disciplines within the four colleges and will be supported by a tailored development programme.
This is an exciting opportunity from being a student to now supporting current students in many aspects of student experience and College Operations. Joining a College team where a new operating structure has been put into place to support the 4 colleges, so it’s a great time to join the team to be a part of the new journey where the support is changing from a school lead model to a college led model which will deliver a consistent operating model across all colleges, improve resilience, improve operational efficiency through standardisation and digital transformation, provide more of a consistent experience and create sustainable structures, and enable long-term service improvement.
Whilst there is no guarantee of employment at the end of the scheme, trainees that have demonstrated excellent performance within their rotations will be in an advantageous position to apply for other roles across the University and support will be provided to assist with the application process. In addition, the skills and experience gained throughout the scheme will undoubtedly give the trainee a competitive advantage should they wish to apply for roles outside of the University.
These posts are open to current (2026) final year undergraduate University of Leicester students or a graduate from 2025 cohorts.
