About the role

We are seeking an organised and proactive Senior Administrator to support the Knowledge Mobilisation (KM) and Research Capacity Development (RCD) programmes within the NIHR ARC East Midlands. This is a varied and rewarding role in which you will provide operational leadership across a range of activities, including programme administration, stakeholder engagement, reporting, communications, digital content management, data governance and event coordination. Working closely with the Head of KM/RCD and Communications Lead, you will help ensure the successful delivery of initiatives that support research capacity, knowledge sharing and the translation of research into practice across the East Midlands.

You will manage key programme processes, coordinate communications with trainees, alumni and external partners, produce reports and impact data, support recruitment and induction activities, and help promote and disseminate training resources and research outputs. The role requires excellent organisational skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and customer service.

About you

You will have either relevant qualifications at NVQ Level 3, A-Level or equivalent with experience in a related role, or substantial comparable professional experience. You will bring significant experience within a senior administrative or secretarial environment, with a proven ability to work independently, use initiative, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, together with experience of drafting professional correspondence, organising meetings and building effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across academic, clinical and external partner settings.

You will be highly organised, adaptable and detail-oriented, with excellent IT skills including Microsoft 365 applications and digital collaboration tools. We are looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, is comfortable handling multiple responsibilities, and is committed to continuous improvement. In keeping with the University of Leicester's values, we welcome applications from individuals who will contribute to our inclusive, inspiring and impactful community.
