Cleaner

We are looking for a reliable, positive and customer-focused individual who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe and welcoming environments. You will be comfortable working as part of a team while also using your own initiative to complete daily tasks. A flexible approach is essential, as you may work across different University buildings and support colleagues during periods of absence or key University events. You must be willing to undertake a full range of cleaning duties, including toilets, offices, teaching spaces and waste and recycling removal, while following written instructions, safe working practices and relevant health and safety procedures. Previous experience of teamwork and working in a customer-focused environment is required, together with good communication skills.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, conscientious and takes genuine pride in their work. You will have a positive and approachable manner, with a strong commitment to delivering a high standard of service for students, staff and visitors.

You will be comfortable working independently while also being a supportive and dependable member of the wider team. Good communication, attention to detail and the ability to remain organised are important, along with a willingness to adapt when priorities change. You will be punctual, respectful and able to use your initiative, bringing a practical and solutions-focused approach to your work.
