About the role
We are looking for an Insight Manager to join  the Strategic Marketing Office. Your role will be to coordinate and conduct comprehensive primary and secondary market research to report on trends and opportunities within the student recruitment markets the University operates. Through the market research undertaken, you will provide recommendations to inform development of the University's brand, course portfolio, pricing and positioning. You will also provide customer and stakeholder insight, contributing to the University's recruitment, marketing and admissions activities. 

In this key role you will work alongside the existing Insight Manager and will be able to build strong and effective relationships with colleagues across External Relations, other key Corporate Services divisions and academic departments, in order deliver robust research and insight in order to meet institutional objectives. 
About you
To be successful in this role you will be educated to degree level or equivalent with significant experience in a market research role, or role with a significant market research component, including experience of marketing. You will have experience applying industry best practice and relevant legislation such as the Market Research Society Code of Conduct, Legislation, Data Protection, etc. as well as experience of commissioning primary and secondary research from and managing external market research agencies.
You'll be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, being able to work comfortably both in a team and independently. You will be able to work with minimal supervision, prioritising your own workload to deal with urgent tasks, while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail. You will have a proven track record of being able to analyse and interpret complex information with well-developed project management skills. You will also have excellent IT skills, including advanced spreadsheet skills (e.g. pivot tables), presentation software, web-based software and experience of data reporting tools. and good numeracy skills with the ability to handle statistics and analyse data.

Additionally a willingness to be flexible in working hours is essential as this role may require some evening, weekend work and occasional travel.
