About the role

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Management and Artificial Intelligence within the School of Management. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a distinctive teaching and research portfolio focused on the application of artificial intelligence within management, particularly in areas such as Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour, Employment Relations and Business Ethics. Working closely with colleagues, you will play a key role in advancing interdisciplinary research, securing external funding, developing innovative curricula and strengthening the School’s emerging profile in AI and management.

As a member of an internationally recognised academic community, you will deliver high-quality, research-informed teaching across undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes while pursuing world-leading research and supervising postgraduate researchers. You will contribute to curriculum innovation, including embedding AI within existing programmes and supporting the development of new educational initiatives. You will also provide academic leadership through mentoring colleagues, supporting research development activities and contributing to strategic priorities across the School. The School of Business is an international and interdisciplinary community with a strong reputation for research and business education, providing an excellent environment in which to develop your academic career.

About you

You will hold a PhD, or equivalent qualification, in a relevant management-related discipline and have an established record of high-quality research, including work examining the role or impact of artificial intelligence within management or HR contexts. You will be able to demonstrate success in teaching and assessment across higher education programmes, alongside experience of developing research activity through publications, collaboration and externally funded projects. Experience of academic leadership, mentoring colleagues and supporting doctoral researchers will also be important.

We are looking for a collaborative and forward-thinking academic with excellent communication skills and a clear vision for developing impactful research and teaching in this rapidly evolving field. You will be able to build productive partnerships within and beyond academia and contribute to interdisciplinary initiatives. Candidates who can help shape new research groupings, foster external engagement and contribute to the growing influence of AI within management education and practice will be particularly welcomed.
