About the role

The Growth Hub represents the College of Business’s “research signature” and is a crucial vehicle in elevating excellent research across the college in the area of responsible growth for businesses and society and making it visible to important stakeholders inside and outside the College and University.

In this role you will work closely with senior colleagues including the Growth Hub Director and the Dean of Research and Enterprise to support the translation and dissemination of research linked to responsible growth. The role focuses on identifying high-quality research, developing translation templates, and transforming academic outputs into engaging content for practitioner and policy audiences, ensuring alignment with external priorities such as government strategy.

You will play a central role in managing and promoting these outputs, including editing and rewriting research, coordinating revisions with authors, and overseeing publication through appropriate channels. The post also involves planning communications activity, contributing to wider engagement initiatives, supporting project delivery across competing priorities, and representing the Growth Hub at meetings and external events.

About you

You will be educated to degree level or possess equivalent professional experience, with a proven background in communications, engagement or impact roles, ideally within a complex organisation. You will have experience of developing and delivering communications plans and campaigns, with the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders and contribute to high-quality publications and outputs.

You will bring excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to translate complex ideas into clear and engaging content for different audiences. You will be well organised and self-motivated, able to manage your own workload and priorities effectively, and confident in building relationships and influencing senior stakeholders. Strong IT and project management skills, alongside a proactive and flexible approach, will enable you to succeed in this varied role.
