About the role

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Marketing and Strategy, which offers an exciting opportunity to develop internationally recognised research while contributing to research-led education across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in areas including as Consumer Behaviour, Digital Marketing, Marketing Communications, Brand Management, Marketing Strategy, Innovation, and International Business/Marketing. The role is aligned with the University’s strategic themes of world-changing research, research-inspired education and civic contribution, and enables the successful candidate to build a balanced academic profile across research, teaching, enterprise and academic citizenship.

You will develop a portfolio of high-quality publications, attract external funding, contribute to postgraduate research supervision and build regional, national and international collaborations with academic, professional and industry partners. You will also deliver engaging and inclusive teaching, contribute to curriculum development, support students through assessment, feedback and personal tutoring, and participate in School, College and University activities.

About you

You will have completed a PhD in a relevant subject area, with expertise that complements or enhances existing strengths within the School. You will bring a strong record of research outputs with the potential to be internationally recognised and world-leading in originality, significance and rigour, alongside clear plans for sustaining and enhancing your research programme. You will also have evidence of external grant activity, experience of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and a successful track record of supporting excellent student outcomes and progression.

We are looking for a collaborative and ambitious academic with excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, develop networks and collaborations, deliver high-quality teaching through a range of methods, and support students, early career researchers and colleagues through coaching, mentoring and pastoral care. You will also bring a strong commitment to enhancing the student experience, contributing to academic administration and representing the School and University through internal and external engagement.
