About the role

The University of Leicester is seeking to appoint two Teaching Fellows in Marketing and Strategy within the School of Business. In this role, you will contribute to established teaching programmes, supporting both campus-based and distance learning provision while enhancing the School’s academic reputation. You will deliver lectures, seminars and online teaching, provide feedback and pastoral support to students, and take responsibility for module design, assessment and quality. You will also contribute to curriculum development, engage with teaching innovation and technologies, and participate in broader academic administration including examinations and committee work.

You will work closely with module and programme leaders and report to the Head of School, playing an active part in the teaching culture of the department. The role involves ongoing professional development, engagement with academic and professional activities, and flexible support for University-wide initiatives such as student recruitment and graduation activities where required.

About you

You will hold, or be close to completing, a PhD in a relevant discipline or demonstrate the equivalent in professional qualifications and experience, and you will be willing to work towards a recognised teaching qualification. You will bring subject knowledge across areas such as marketing, digital marketing, strategy, consumer behaviour, operations management, business analytics and AI, ensuring your teaching reflects current developments within a research-led environment.

You will have the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and engage students effectively, demonstrating strong presentation, organisational and interpersonal skills. A commitment to high-quality teaching, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and confidence in using IT and online learning platforms are essential. You will also bring a proactive approach to supporting students and contributing to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
