You will join the Leicester Real World Evidence Unit, based within the Leicester Diabetes Centre in the Division of Public Health and Epidemiology, to support a programme of research funded by the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration East Midlands. The role focuses on the design, delivery and quality assurance of applied health research, with particular emphasis on evidence synthesis, cost-effectiveness evaluation and the use of large routinely collected datasets in areas including diabetes and cardiovascular disease. You will work with a large multidisciplinary team of statisticians and epidemiologists while independently managing your own research workload and objectives.
The postholder will lead and contribute to systematic reviews, health economic analyses and collaborative research projects, ensuring delivery against key milestones and the production of high-quality research outputs suitable for publication and dissemination at national and international conferences. You will contribute to grant and fellowship applications, support impact and knowledge exchange activities, and engage in professional development, mentoring and, where appropriate, the supervision of doctoral researchers.
