About the role
We are pleased to offer an opportunity to join our IT Services as a Software Management Analyst to support the management of software assets in the university, including requirements gathering, procurement, asset management, auditing and compliance.
In this role, you will process requests for software from staff and PhDs for purchase of new, or access to existing, software, as well as liaising with users directly to understand requirements and advise on alternatives where they already exist.
You will also have the opportunity to support the Divisional Operations Manager with lifecycle management of software assets, manage renewals of contracts for straightforward and low cost software assets. Furthermore, be able to contribute to work needed for the renewal of larger contracts and carry out audits of software use to ensure that software is being used in compliance with licence agreements. 
About you
Our ideal candidate will have a good level of experience with Microsoft Office tools and general IT skills equivalent to ECDL, as well as a basic knowledge of service management disciplines.
You will be customer focused, with excellent organisational and time management skills and be able to make judgements about workload priorities.
