About the role
We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join us at the University of Leicester.  Your role will be to provide comprehensive and professional financial and administrative support, including ensuring Departmental procurement complies with and adheres to University financial regulations, policies and VAT and safety requirements.
Your role will involve providing a detailed procurement service to staff and students as part of the Finance Support Team, providing a flexible and efficient service is key, ensuring both staff and students receive the very best service possible. You will also maintain accurate and comprehensive financial records and to provide reports as required to the departmental management team. 
About you
To be successful in this role you will be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent with work experience in a comparable setting. You will also have good IT skills and a working knowledge of a financial software system (eg. SAP).
You'll be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, being able to work comfortably both in a team and independently. You will be able to work with minimal supervision, prioritising your own workload to deal with urgent tasks, while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
