About the role

Location: Leicester Clinical Trials Unit (LCTU) The Mission: Impacting lives through data-driven clinical research.

Why Join Us?

Leicester Clinical Trials Unit is a powerhouse of innovation. We partner with world-class investigators to answer the most urgent questions in modern medicine. We don’t just run trials; we design solutions. As our portfolio grows, we are looking for a self-motivated Clinical Database Developer who thrives at the intersection of technology and healthcare.

The Role

You won’t just be "building databases" - you will be the technical architect for life-saving research. Working within a highly skilled IT & Database Development team, you will:

  • Design & Build: Lead the end-to-end development of clinical trial databases using EDC platforms like REDCap, OpenClinica, or ENNOV MACRO
  • Collaborate: Act as the technical lead for trial teams, advising world-class statisticians and clinicians on data collection strategy
  • Innovate: Draft CRF specifications and testing plans, ensuring our data capture is as efficient as it is robust
  • Consult: Serve as the "technical translator," making complex database concepts accessible to non-specialist clinical staff.

About you

You are a logical thinker with a "tenacious" approach to problem-solving. You don’t just spot a bug; you fix the system.

  • Expertise: Demonstrable experience in building professional databases for clinical research
  • Communication: Ability to guide clinical teams through technical requirements with clarity and patience
  • Precision: An unwavering eye for detail – because in clinical trials, the data is everything
  • Mindset: Proactive, collaborative, and ready to make a significant contribution to global health research.
Ready to build the future of clinical data?
