About the role

In this vital front-facing role, you will provide a first-class reception service for our Student Led Placement Clinic, ensuring that every visitor, student and colleague receives a warm welcome and an efficient, professional experience. You will manage day‑to‑day clinic bookings, handle enquiries from internal and external stakeholders, and support service users as they arrive, including taking card payments. As a key point of contact, you will help maintain smooth clinic operations, ensuring telephone, email and administrative tasks are completed to the highest standard and circulating relevant information to support wider communication.

Alongside your reception duties, you will contribute to the administrative work of the Clinical Audit and Placement Team. This will include organising stock and equipment, supporting meetings and events, coordinating parking and travel enquiries, and assisting with routine IT and office functions. Working closely with the clinic team, you will help ensure the clinic environment runs effectively, supporting the University’s commitment to high-quality learning, teaching and practice within the healthcare setting.

About you

You will bring previous experience in a reception or administrative role where you have delivered excellent customer service, ideally within a busy, client‑facing environment. You will be confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office, and able to manage a range of tasks with accuracy and attention to detail. Your strong communication skills and ability to respond effectively to a variety of enquiries will allow you to represent the clinic professionally and supportively. You will also be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

You will understand the importance of providing an inclusive and high‑quality service and will demonstrate a collaborative approach when working with students, academic staff and external partners. With a positive attitude, you will play an active role in supporting the wider activities of the University community.
