About the role

Are you an experienced and forward-thinking Web Content Manager? Do you want to play an important role in delivering the University's CMS and website transformation project? If so, we want to hear from you!

You will lead on the creation, optimisation and governance of web content for a wide-range of audiences and objectives. You will ensure that content supports the University's strategic goals and supports its values of being inspiring, inspiring and impactful.

You will be part of a multi-discipline web team, specialising in front and back-end development, UX/UI design, data analytics, content creation and CMS administration.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead on on the delivery of content for the new CMS and website;
  • Oversee ongoing content creation, migration and quality assurance;
  • Manage content governance, editorial workflows and editor support;
  • Collaborate with development and design colleagues to inform new features and functions;
  • Use analytics and reporting tools to monitor content performance.

About you

You'll possess a strong background in web content management, ideally within a large or complex organisation. You have significant experience of managing web content using a content management system (CMS), preferably with experience of CMS migration or redevelopment projects. You will have a passion for creating content that is accessible, user-centred, and informed by data and market insights.
 
Essential skills and experience: 
  • Proven experience managing web content using a CMS;
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards, usability and SEO;
  • Experience in auditing web content with a view to re-structuring and/or re-writing; 
  • Strong understanding of content and information architecture;
  • Ability to understand business objectives and construct web pages that convert;
  • Comfortable collaborating with a wide-range of stakeholders.
