About the role

The University of Leicester are looking for someone with a passion for technology to join our Applications Services Team. Using your extensive technical knowledge and experience you will help the University deliver on its Digital aspirations through the implementation of innovative solutions. You will be looked upon as a highly experienced technical expert in the Business Intelligence, Integration & Microsoft SQL Server based applications space. 

The role is both technical and managerial, as Team Leader you will be responsible for managing and inspiring a team of Specialists working with the same technologies, providing technical leadership, guidance and direction. 
You will represent the wider IT Solutions Team in forums such as architecture review boards and support Solution Architects and Development leads in technical areas. 
About you
You will have an excellent understanding of existing and emerging technologies in the areas of Microsoft SQL (Including Azure DB), Integration using SQL Server Integration Services & Azure Data Factory and Business Intelligence including PowerBI. 
Our ideal candidate will also be someone who is constantly looking to improve the way we do things. Someone who can develop new ideas, explore and exploit new technologies to meet business requirements, deliver innovation and value.

We anticipate that interviews will take place during the week commencing 04 November 2019, with successful candidates being invited to a second round of interviews anticipated to take place during the week commencing 11 November 2019.
