About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Project Support Manager to join the Paediatric Intensive Care Audit Network (PICANet) within the Department of Population Health Sciences. PICANet is a collaboration between the Universities of Leeds and Leicester, focusing on improving paediatric intensive care by collecting and analysing data across the UK and Republic of Ireland. As Project Support Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the project by providing professional and proactive management support. You will coordinate project deliverables, oversee regulatory requirements, and act as the main point of contact for PICANet stakeholders. You will also support the production of key reports, assist in budget planning, and contribute to continuous operational improvements.

The role requires regular engagement with NHS partners, funders, and paediatric critical care services. While the team operates on a hybrid basis, you will be expected to be in the Leicester office at least one day per week.

About you

We are looking for an organised and proactive individual with a degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant role. Experience in an academic or NHS setting is essential, along with a strong understanding of NHS structures relevant to paediatric intensive care. You will have excellent attention to detail, strong communication and management skills, and the ability to work independently to address challenges as they arise. Proficiency in IT, data assessment, and confidentiality awareness are also important.

It would be beneficial to have knowledge of NHS paediatric services, experience producing reports for government bodies, and familiarity with research governance. The ability to travel to stakeholder meetings on a quarterly basis is desirable.

Additional information

Informal enquiries are welcome and should be made to Sarah Seaton on [email protected]

Applications for job share will be considered.

As part of the University’s ongoing commitment to professional development, this role will also be considered on a seconded basis for existing staff members. Please ensure this is discussed with your line manager prior to applying. More information regarding secondments can be found here
