About the role

This is a great opportunity for students to be employed by the University and make a difference to new students experience. This part time role has flexibility around your studies as shifts are usually 5pm-10pm Mon-Fri and 10am-3pm at the weekend.

The Residential Advisors help our live in students settle into their home away from home, ensuring they are encourage to attend social events and get to know others they are living and studying with.

Our Residential Life programme delivers exciting social events for all students within halls of residence and it is the Residential Advisors role to ensure these are engaging, accessible and inclusive to all.

About you

Are you enthusiastic about helping others? Do you have great energy to drive events programmes? Are you a current student who has help, guidance and useful tips that would benefit first year students?

If you answered yes to these questions then we need you. Our team run exciting events for students living within halls and we need enthusiastic individuals to join us for 2025/26 to ensure it is our best programme yet.

You will be an active registered student at the University of Leicester, with experience living in some form of university halls of residence. You will have a passion for supporting residential students and building a sense of community and engagement.
