About the role
As the CDT Centre Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the CDT. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support, including managing student records, coordinating training programmes, and overseeing governance procedures. Acting as the first point of contact for postgraduate research (PGR) students and academic staff, you will handle enquiries related to training courses, events, conferences, and financial matters. You will work closely with the CDT Manager and lead academics, as well as liaise with central university teams and administrative staff across partner institutions.

A key aspect of the role will be to support the student lifecycle from recruitment through to graduation. This will involve processing applications, monitoring student progress, organising induction processes, and ensuring compliance with university policies, including GDPR. Additionally, you will contribute to marketing and publicity efforts for CDT events and studentships, helping to promote the programme through various channels. Your role will also involve committee servicing, event coordination, and financial administration, ensuring that all CDT activities are well organised and efficiently managed.

Further information regarding the centre can be found here.
About you
We are looking for an organised and proactive administrator with substantial experience in a busy administrative environment. You should be educated to A-level standard (or equivalent) and have strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience of working within higher education and familiarity with university administrative and financial systems would be an advantage.

The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you will be liaising with academic staff, students, and external stakeholders. You should be able to manage your workload independently, prioritising tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.

If you are looking for a role where you can make a real impact within an academic setting and enjoy working in a collaborative and supportive environment, we would love to hear from you.
