We are seeking to appoint two Lecturers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering to help build a strong foundation for world changing research and research inspired education within the School of Engineering. You will join the Green Energy and Transport Research Group, a welcoming interdisciplinary team whose work aligns with the University’s ambition to deliver impactful research addressing real world challenges, particularly in areas such as Sustainable Energy Systems, Advanced Electrical Machines, Net-zero Transportation, Power Electronics, AI-informed Electronic Control, Applied Superconductivity, Metamaterials and Energy related technologies. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to nationally and internationally recognised research, develop collaborative projects with academic and industrial partners, and strengthen the School’s growing research impact.
Alongside research, the role carries a significant teaching and academic citizenship contribution. You will design and deliver high‑quality, student‑centred teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, supervise student research projects, and contribute to curriculum development informed by the latest advances in engineering education. As part of the wider academic community at the University of Leicester, you will also undertake appropriate administrative and leadership responsibilities, support University activities, and help foster an inclusive, supportive and professionally enriching environment for students and colleagues alike.
