About the role

Leicester Kidney Lifestyle Team (LKLT) are looking for a bright and enthusiastic early career researcher to take a leading role in a new project aiming to implement and evaluate lifestyle self-management resources for kidney patients and healthcare professionals in primary and secondary care. This project is an integral element within our wider Kidney Lifestyle Research Programme (KLRP) and offers scope for career progression in an emerging field in health research.

The LKLT is a multidisciplinary group running a portfolio of clinical and laboratory studies investigating the biomedical, clinical and psychosocial effects of lifestyle interventions in patients with chronic kidney disease; our research explores the mechanisms underlying these effects, and develops and tests strategies for implementing interventions in clinical practice. Our team has nationwide and international collaborations and boasts exciting opportunities for disseminating work through international conferences and publications.  

 

About you
You will have a background with a relevant health science degree and possess experience of testing a digital health intervention. You will draw on your knowledge and/or experience of qualitative research and implementation science methodology. This includes ethics and regulatory applications and amendments, qualitative and quantitative data methodologies, practical experience in health research and theoretical knowledge, and has an interest in implementation science, health psychology/behaviour research or other health related subject.
