About the role

We are excited to be looking for a Programme Administrator to join the ever growing School of Healthcare, to cover a maternity leave role.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy professional service team and get involved in the end-to-end trainee journey of an Independent Prescriber.

As a key member of the professional services team, you will support the Independent Prescribing distance learning programme.  This particular role involves dealing with and resolving all queries of varying complexity from trainees, academic staff and other areas within the University as well as external partners.  Responsible for maintaining and improving all administrative activities throughout the lifecycle of a trainee from initial enquiry through to alumni, including responsibility for registration, assessment, organising study days and monitoring trainee progression and engagement.

About you

Educated to A-level standard (or equivalent) you will also possess significant experience in a relevant administrative role. We are looking for an individual who has expertise in interpreting and complying with complex procedures and regulations, as well as the ability to manage a complex record system. As a successful Programme Administrator, you will have experience of using initiative and judgement to resolve queries independently as well as good knowledge of data protection and the ability to deal with confidential issues in a sensitive manner.  You must also be able to multi task, work to tight deadlines, have an eye for details and have great communication skills.

Additional information

Informal enquiries are welcome and should be made to Deb Martin on [email protected]

We anticipate interviews will be held on Tuesday 18th February 2025.

As part of the University’s ongoing commitment to professional development, this role will also be considered on a seconded basis for existing staff members. Please ensure this is discussed with your line manager prior to applying. More information regarding secondments can be found here
