About the role

We are looking for a talented and ambitious statistician or data analyst to join the renal research group. This is an opportunity to work on a systematic review and a component network meta-analysis funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research. The post holder, at Research Fellow level (Grade 8) or Research Associate level (Grade 7), will lead in the completion of the systematic review and the development and application of novel approaches for evidence synthesis, the preparation of research outputs, and liaise with our patient and public involvement and engagement panel (PPIE).

As well as working closely with the Principal Investigators, you will provide guidance and co-supervision to other members of the research team. You will work closely with our academic collaborators, national health service (NHS) partners and our PPIE panel to ensure maximum impact of the research findings. The post will require high-level expertise and experience in health technology assessment methodological research.

About you

For Grade 7, you will have a PhD (or relevant MSc plus equivalent research experience) in a relevant area of systematic reviews, quantitative evidence synthesis (e.g. meta-analysis, network meta-analysis) within a healthcare setting, and be able to provide evidence of research productivity (including high-quality research publications and presentations).

For Grade 8, you will have all of the above and also be able to provide a growing research record of international standing. You will have excellent planning, problem solving, and organisational skills, which you use to seek out opportunities to secure future research funding.
