About the role
In this role, you will provide a reception service and administrative support for the Leicester Law School, responding to a wide variety of queries from students, staff, prospective student applicants and visitors and will be expected to provide advice and assistance when required. We are looking for a motivated individual who is able to manage their own time, keen to learn and work to deadlines ensuring that they provide the best service possible.
 
You will have excellent attention to detail and have the ability to deal with people on a variety of levels. This is full time role and is based on-campus/in the office. Indicative duties would include data entry such as attendance monitoring and marks entry, information gathering for the compilation of newsletters such as the careers bulletin, helping to prepare for, and attend, open days and other student visit days, helping with events such as registering candidates, booking rooms and equipment, ordering refreshments. Providing assistance to the assessment, student support or recruitment teams. Supporting university-led events such as student registration, graduation, student admissions (clearing call centre work).
 
Weekend work is required for some activities, with time off in lieu given.
About you
You will be seeking to develop a career in an academic student facing environment, delivering support to a wide range of student needs and activities. You will have excellent communication and relationship building skills and be able to adapt your communication style to suit a wide variety of situations.

You will have high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, good IT skills and knowledge including use of Microsoft Office package, alongside excellent organisational and planning skills. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the ability to use their initiative and judgement to resolve problems independently.
